TAKA JOSEPH

Taka Joseph is a German-Zimbabwean musician, singer, songwriter, and producer based in Cologne, Germany.
Born and raised in Gweru, Zimbabwe, Taka began singing and playing acoustic guitar at the age of 6. He initially developed a love for pop, R&B, and gospel music, performing in various church gospel bands. By age 13, he had also learned to play the piano. Over time, he embraced a broader range of genres, drawing inspiration from Zimbabwean icons like Oliver Mtukudzi, as well as American and UK soul and pop artists discovered through his parents' vinyl and CD collection.
As a professional musician, songwriter, and producer, Taka Joseph has collaborated with national and international artists such as Anastacia, Zoe Wees, Joel Brandenstein, Sam Ryder, Topic, Eloy de Jong, Nico & Vinz, Rebecca Ferguson, and Emma Marrone, among others.
As a solo artist, Taka presents a modern fusion of acoustic soul-pop with analog electronic elements, rooted in gospel and enriched by his Zimbabwean heritage.
